Biography
Emmanuel González Francisco was born on October 23, 2000, in Puebla, Mexico. In 2020, he began studying Cinematography at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. During his early years, he created short films and music videos, gaining experience as a director and assistant cinematographer. In the later stages of his degree, he focused on editing and color grading—areas that strengthened his understanding of audiovisual language. He later began writing, directing, and editing both fiction and documentary projects, developing a particular interest in intimate stories that explore grief, memory, and human relationships through a sensitive, observational lens. He participated in the series ¿En dónde está Alfredo Corona? (2025), produced by ARPA BUAP students, directing the episode Pesadillas, which aired on Canal 22. In 2025, he took part in Reto Docs with the documentary short El hombre bajo el arco (2026). In all his projects, he has worked as director, screenwriter, and editor. He is currently submitting his short film ¿Dónde está mi pez? (2026) to festivals. He graduated with a degree in Cinematography in 2025 and currently works as an editor and photographer for an audiovisual marketing company in his hometown. He aims to establish himself as an audiovisual author while continuing to develop his perspective and professional practice in editing and photography.
